Oven-To-Table Flameware
Flameproof clay is formulated to withstand thermal shock when heated. Platters made from flameproof clay can go into a very hot oven and come out ready to be presented on the table. They may be used for broiling or grilling over an even flame. The flameware platters receive a very light application of soda ash during the firing to bring forward the beautiful color of the clay body. The platters are food safe, lead-free, and ready for use. Flameware can not be used in microwave ovens.
